I have just set up my 23 things blog. I set up a blog some years ago and managed just the one entry, so the propect of blogging repeatedly here is a little daunting. I don't like any of the template layouts for the blog page and chose this one despite its colour and because of its relative clarity of arrangement and lack of distraction. The others seem far too busy for my eyes. And now that I need reading glasses for smaller and less distinct text, I place a very high value on plain simple, big and bold.

Although I have worked with computers in the past, and now use the internet every day and tinker with IT a bit, there are some things I have either snobbishly or religiously avoided - including Facebook, Twitter and, for the most part YouTube. Its so easy to fall behind the times while telling yourself that you are still with them.

However, I am very excited by the new Apple iPad tablet:
